Photographer and actress Amanda Crew’s portfolio is the stuff of lifestyle dreams; gorgeous portraits, serene arrangements and idyllic locales. Her recent series, 100 Days of Portraits and Text, opted to take her penchant for portraits and toss in a curveball—asking her subjects to reveal their most recently sent text message and adding the answer into the images themselves. It makes for a fascinating series; sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, but always varied. “In my head these photos were going to be much more uniform and cohesive, but I got bored very quickly just doing one thing and started to switch it up. I’m happy I gave myself that freedom.”
