About the Photo Awards
Last year, Booooooom hosted their second annual Photo Awards. The competition saw the highest number of submissions of any prior call on Booooooom, garnering wide international attention. The awards exist to propel the winners toward successful careers in their chosen field. You can view the winners and shortlisted submissions from last year’s awards here.
Here at Format, we recognize the importance of creating spaces and opportunities to celebrate creatives and their work. We’re dedicated to helping creatives grow and reach their full potential, and can’t wait to see what’s in store for this year’s Photo Awards!
Everyone is welcome to submit one image to these awards for FREE. Booooooom members enjoy unlimited submissions and unlimited images for all award categories. If you want to submit more than one image or compete in multiple categories, consider becoming a Booooooom member aqui!
Award Categories
- PORTRAIT – Human subjects are the focus here.
- NATURE – Images related to land, sea, sky, the natural world.
- STREET – Street photography is generally understood to be candid unposed moments of everyday life in public spaces. Images may be spontaneous and chaotic or they may be more quiet observations.
- COLOUR – Images may feature one colour or an explosion of many. Or maybe they capture a few that feel in perfect harmony with one another. How can you make the viewer notice the colour first?
- FASHION – Whether these images are editorial, lookbook, shot in studio or not, we want to see your most striking work.
